A lot has changed since 2017- obviously. No way to cover it all so I'll hit highlights.
First and foremost SP is doing amazing!!!!! Quiet joints and eyes for over 3 years! She remains on weekly MTX and Humira every other week. Recent research is showing the benefits of staying in medicated remission longer in hopes of non-medicated remission being maintained once weaned off meds.
We are still in Delaware and still go up to Dupont for SP's care. Sadly our awesome Ophthalmologist has left. We, of course, wish him the very best and are extremely thankful for everything he has done for SP over the 6 years she was in his care.
And we also learned recently that our super Rheumatologist will be retiring in the spring. So more changes coming our way.
And as you can tell from the picture SP has really grown up! It's hard to believe our journey with JIA and Uveitis began when she was in Kindergarten and now she's in 6th grade
SP continues to do

I have no idea when I will update this next. SP sees the her Dr's every 6 months now, a big change from weekly, monthly or every 3 months like before.
but the best part of this update that I love is that SP gets to live her life! She's getting to be a regular, active kid!
I'm always available for questions about JIA or Uveitis, so just message me. thanks for checking in on SP :D
